First experience as a shooting assistant producer on location

Today I shot professionally on location for the first time in Bristol, using the Sony FX6 camera to pick up some shots for broadcast.

With production on the BBC's Inside the Autistic Mind moving at a rapid but sustainable pace, producer-director Emma invited me to take control of the camera to pick up some actuality.

Having completed camera training in January, I soon found my groove. Whilst it took a moment for the training to click in, it wasn't long before I was finding good details and getting good shots. It felt really quite surreal to be filming for a BBC documentary about a subject so close to my heart.

I joined production of Inside the Autistic Mind last November and more information about the programme can be found here.
