A short trip to Edge Hill University to talk all things neurodiversity

Today, I visited Edge Hill University in Lancashire as a guest speaker, part of their Making Creative Connections event for media students.

While referencing my own career, neurodivergent story and work on hit BBC show Inside Our Autistic Minds, I also gave students practical tips on how to make life in the media less overwhelming.

Before summarising and taking a variety of varied questions from students, I also offered perspectives on where the media industry is at when it comes to accessibility and representation for the disabled and neurodivergent community.

It was a really enjoyable afternoon meeting everyone at Edge Hill and I hope that by representing neurodivergent individuals in the creative industry, it will give students confidence and skills to achieve their ambitions in the field.
