The show, hosted by former tennis player Sue Barker, has been running since 1970 and reached its 1000th episode in March 2013. Recorded at the Dock10 studios at MediaCityUK, the show will be heading into its 49th series.
It is an honour to be joining an institution on British television that I have grown up watching. As an avid sports fan, it feels like the perfect opportunity to develop my career in television. My start date can't come soon enough!
