I have been lucky to go behind the scenes on a broadcast of the popular BBC consumer affairs programme Watchdog.
Watching the programme from the show's studio at Dock 10 in Salford, I gained a valuable insight into the workings of a live television production and how presenters operate.
Presenter Matt Allwright, who is in his tenth year on Watchdog, spoke to guests amongst the studio audience.
Tonight's hour long broadcast studied a number of consumer issues, including faulty tumble dryers, smart meters and whether pizza boxes are recyclable.
