A trip to Sky Sports campus to talk all things neurodiversity and sport

Today, I visited Sky's campus in Osterley, London to educate staff on neurodiversity, focusing on the importance of responsible reporting.

Drawing on my experience from BBC series Inside Our Autistic Minds, I discussed best practice when it comes to 'diversity of thought', addressing media challenges like representation, language, and tone.

Highlighting the strengths and challenges of neurodivergent individuals, this training allowed editorial staff to get to grips with how to construct accurate, balanced portrayals in sports media. The session also touched on how to work with neurodivergent contributors and how to deliver the best possible duty of care.

It was a real joy to visit Sky again and deliver this training. It's so critical neurodivergent audiences see themselves represented on screen in a sensitive manner. A huge thanks to Mark Alford and his team for inviting me to address a division of Sky I've always idolised.
