4 December 2022

This afternoon, I appeared on BBC Radio 1's Life Hacks programme, where I discussed autistic masking and neurodiversity.

Talking to presenters Katie Thistleton and Vicky Hawkesworth, I reflected on former Love Island contestant Niall Aslam's experience of being autistic and then the neurodiversity movement.

BBC Radio 1, launched in September 1967,  provides a range of music and entertainment for 15-29 year olds, as well as news and advice for young adults. In the third quarter of 2022, Radio 1 reached just over 8 million listeners a week.

Life Hacks launched on Radio 1 in 2017 and this week celebrated International Day of Disabled Persons, which took place this year on 3 December. On the show, I spoke about how I feel society needs to speak more positively about neurodivergent people.
