The Christmas episode of A Question of Sport aired on BBC One tonight, featuring a range of content I helped to produce.

The episode featured former British stars in football, swimming, motorsport and skeleton with Darren Bent, Rebecca Adlington, James Toseland and Amy Williams joining the captains on the panel.

A mix of frosty graphics and jolly VTs combined with Christmas trees and Santa Claus in the studio to create a festive half-hour of television. Illustrative snow I had created sat amongst the usual show design matching the decorative jumpers worn in the studio.

Two Mystery Guest VTs played out which I had helped shoot in the depths of autumn. They featured former cricketer Michael Vaughan joyfully making mince pies and former swimmer Mark Foster frustratedly wrapping presents dressed as Santa.

A special episode of A Question of Sport will also air next week, Friday 3 January, marking 50 years of the programme. Sue and captains will be joined by Laura Davies, Martin Offiah, Beth Tweddle and former captain Ally McCoist.

A special documentary will also air this Friday looking back over 50 years.
