Handiwork on special episode of A Question of Sport marking 50 years airs

A special episode marking 50 years of A Question of Sport has aired with work I helped to produce before leaving in November.
The episode saw captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell joined by a number of famous faces. Former captain Ally McCoist was welcomed back with Laura Davies, Beth Tweddle and Martin Offiah also on the panel.
The show was recorded late last year with questions taking a nostalgic look back at 50 years of the programme. I again took responsibility for the production of studio graphics, transforming the usual design to gold to reflect the golden anniversary.
Stars entered via a glamorous red carpet before the programme, devised by Nick Hunter, took place. It was another competitive encounter with the 'Sprint Finish' round again a decider. An after-party followed the recording with former and current production personnel celebrating with stars and their families.
Over Christmas, a special documentary was broadcast on BBC One which looked back at some of the 1,200-plus episodes that have aired since 1970. Former captains, panellists and TV personalities combined for a hour long trip down memory lane. See my short cameo here.
