Today I joined the panel for the Media's Rising Stars discussion as part of the BBC's Digital Cities Virtual event.

Hosted by journalist Tasha Crawford, the event saw University of Salford graduates open up about getting into the media industry. It was viewed by current students through Zoom.

Digital Cities is a series of free online events and training for the creative industries run by BBC Academy. Other speakers today included edit assistant producer at ITV Entertainment Beth Cooper and Sunny Kang, producer-director at Nine Lives Media.

On speaking about my efforts and passion for increased diversity, presenter Tasha agreed saying, "it's so important because we represent the world... and if the media industry doesn't reflect the people who are watching, then what's the point?".
