An incredible experience on Bitesize Daily comes to an end

I am sad to announce after three months I have today left my role on Bitesize Daily, the corporation's new educational service.

The series for secondary students that I worked on concluded this morning on BBC iPlayer. Hosts Katie Thistleton and Ben Cajee signed off wishing students a "brilliant summer".

Launched to provide home schooling for young people affected by the 2019-20 Coronavirus pandemic, the programme, presented by a number of famous faces, covered core subjects every week. The final two weeks focused on science and the arts.

Sir David Attenborough, Jodie Whittaker, Liam Payne, Jesse Lingard and Dina Asher Smith were just some of the names who featured during the ten weeks of programming. Online, 1,800 lessons were delivered, ensuring students all across the country could keep on top of their learning.

My role predominantly consisted of producing 'compilations', designed to give a flavour of what was on the BBC Bitesize website. I was however often tasked with cutting user-generated content and bringing it to life using footage from the BBC archives and other libraries.
