Now six weeks into my new role at BBC Sport, Euro 2020, the first major sporting event of summer, is reaching the end of the group stage.

Since the tournament kicked off on 11 June in the Italian city of Rome, I have been busy producing content for both the BBC Sport website and social channels, reaching global audiences.

Working closely with the BBC's TV production teams, I have been turning round a wide range of digital content, including manager interviews and pundits' best moments in the studio. Also responsible for researching material sent in from tournament organisers UEFA, it has been an fascinating first 10 days.

Euro 2020 is being held across Europe with the final, currently due to be held at Wembley Stadium in London, scheduled for 11 July. The BBC's second major sporting event of the summer will begin next week as Wimbledon gets under way. This follows a year's break due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
