Today, I addressed commissioners at BBC Children's and Education about the importance of representing neurodiversity in the media.

A virtual call with the leading experts in children's television saw me reflect on my experiences in the industry and, in terms of programming, what's working well and what needs to change.

BBC Children's and Education say they are "committed to offering the best cross-platform and on-demand service for all UK children" with the aim of providing "enriching, enabling and relevant" content to under 16s.

It was a real honour to be able to address those who have done so much for children, particularly during the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Neurodiversity is clearly on their agenda. I know the next generation will be more accepting than ever to difference, due to great work by the BBC.

You can read more about my work around neurodiversity here and explore the BBC's great children's content on BBC iPlayer.
