Ambitions and context
I am ultimately looking for a permanent role as a journalist or reporter.
Having worked with Chris Packham on Inside Our Autistic Minds (aired early 2023), I am aware of the power of representation. I have become increasingly aware of a lack of neurodiversity on screen and feel the next generation need somebody new to look up to. We need more reporters or presenters to be proud of being neurodivergent.
18 months of freelancing between winter 2022 and spring 2024 provided me a range of experiences, some of which are shown above. After a five-month contract in BBC Sport, I am now looking for a more permanent position in journalism.
However I appreciate I may need to explore off-air positions that will help me to develop or move into the reporting arena.
I'm so lucky to have had a life-long obsession with television.
I have genuinely always found talking to cameras easier than talking to people!
To be able to do this and to make a difference is the ultimate dream.
